In the Arabic language AMAL means hope. On the wings of this strong emotion the musical project has been conceived and developed by Fabio Armani and Abdalla Mohamed, two composers of different belongings and musical culture.

Abdullah is a multi-instrument performer of Egyptian origins, that starting from the deep knowledge of the techniques and styles of the Arabic music tradition, composes music based on the dialog created by melodies played by his ethnic flutes (ney e kawala) and by the energy of the percussion (darbukka, doholla, duff, riqq e sagat).

The complementary aspect of AMAL music is provided by the musical personality of Fabio Armani, more jazz and electronic oriented, in which the searching for new sounds and new forms of arrangement characterize the more innovative and modern side of the Ensemble.

Currently the band is working on the making of his own first CD, simple called AMAL, that will be produced by the DIFFERENT LANDS label.
