Luca Barberini

Luca Barberini - bass player. Luca Barberini is a bass player that was born in Rome in 1964. He plays and teaches bass and improvisation techniques.

He started the bass instrument study at the age of 20 with the teaching of Andrea Pighi. Then he continued his studies with Luca Pirozzi, Francis Koerber and Toni Armetta.

He collaborated and played in concerts with the following artists:

  • ABBA e RIU - an Italian folk music group from Sardinia. The band's drum player is Piero Avallone from the famous Canzoniere del Lazio ensemble.
  • CON-FUSION - a fusion band under the direction of Pablo Patrignani
  • ORCHESTRA di MUSICA CONTEMPORANEA - directed by Fernando Grillo at the Pescara Musical Conservatory

He is currently working with:

  • INDACO - a
  • ALESSANDRO D'ALOIA - in the Brazilian bands: Tribas do Sambas and Maracatu Atomico
  • TERRE DIFFERENTI - world fusion project for Different Lands label ( a new CD coming out next )
