Marco Conti

Marco Conti was born in Rome in 1956. He plays saxophones, flute and clarinet. He begin his musical studies at the musical conservatory of Frosinone "Licinio Refice" under the teaching of Baldo Maestri. He is active as a solist performer in a lot of musical clubs and worked as a session man for Recordings, Cinema and Television. During his artistic charrier, Marco performed in many Jazz festivals. The most important are:   Umbria Jazz 1988   Ravenna Jazz FGestival 1989   Pisa New Wave 1989   Roma Jazz fsetival 1992 and 1996

He worked with many Jazz musicians. Among them we can mention: Gary Burtz, Geaorge Garzone, Donals Harison, Alfredo De la Fe', Tony Scott, Massimo Urbani, Enrico Rava, Roberto Gatto, Antonello Salis, Danilo REa, Maurizio Giammarco, Horatio Hernandez.

Marco was also in the organic of a lot of Jazz big bands and ochestras, like: Alberto Corvini Big Band, Bruno Biriaco Big Band, Woody Show Memorial Band, Orchestra da ballo della scuola di musica di Testaccio, Mario Raja Big Band, Big Brightly Orchestra, Tommaso Vittorini's Eliseo Big Band and Trombe Rosse of Massimo Nunzi.

He is now distributing his first solo recording, titled Triotherapy, as a composer and soloist performer. This CD is an experimental collection of improvised compositions, based on different loops and moods.

From 1998 Marco collaborates with Fabio Armani and Alessandro D'Aloia at the development of the Terre Differenti world fusion project.
