Francisco Miceli

Francisco Miceli - guitars. Francisco Miceli (Chico) is a Brazilian guitarist born the 22 of August 1967. He decided to play the guitar after having attended to a Van Halen concert in Rio de Janeiro in 1980.

At the beginning he studied classic guitar and then he was interested in rock music and to the great guitarists of that years: Joe Satriani, Van Halen, and Steve Vai. When he stopped the classic guitar studies, he starts to learn jazz and harmony.

His first professional engagement was in 1990 when he worked for a well known brazilian 'pop' singer "Sydney Magal".

After this experience he played with other famous musicians from the brazilian music landscape like: "Rosana",Xuxa", "Gabriel o Pensador", and the band "Viva Vox".

From 1991 to 1993 he worked for the "Globo" TV collaborating to the soundtracks of some "soap operas".

In 1993 he decided to change the course of his life leaving Brazil and arriving in Europe where he worked with a lot of brazilian bands of music and entertainment, like "Else Soares", the "Oba Oba" band, "Magico Brasil", "Proffeta", "Iramar" and others, playing in a lot of europen countries.

Now he lives in Rome (Italy) and plays with rock bands "Coda" and "Leno Landini". With the drummer and composer Alessandro D'Aloia he creates the "Big Guitar" project where he plays his own pieces and covers from famous rock guitarists (Joe Satriani Jimi Hendrix Steve Vai etc. )

He teaches guitar playing techniques at the New Mississipi Jazz Club school of Rome.

Currently, Francisco collaborates with Fabio Armani and Alessandro D'Aloia at the development of the Terre Differenti world fusion project.
