Mohamed Abdalla

Mohamed Abdalla Kamal Abdalla was born in Alexandria ( Egypt ) on the 21 April 1965. After the hight school he graduates Gymnastics Public University of Alexandria. At the age of 11 he started to study Arabian drums, being one of the best among the other students he started to follow the famous teacher Abdel Meneim Hassan for the next ten years. At the age 14 he started to study the flute ney, kawala, argoul with different teachers and among them teacher Fawzy Cheder. At the age 15 he joins the Popular Orchestra of Moharem Bek (Alexandria) and at 18 he becomes member of Ferkt Eskandria Lil Fonon el Shabeja, the most important folk and popular music group of Alexandria.

In May 2001 in Cairo he perfectioned its art in arabic drums with Mahmoud Hammoda.
In May 2001 in Alexandria in flute with Fawzy Cheder.

ESPERIENZE PROFESSIONALI

In febbruary 1994 in Holland were he plays with an egyptian-moroccoan music group.
In november 1996 he moves to Italy in Rome were he collaborates with many arab - oriental groups: Layaly, Ebla, Baladi, Sahara, Noureddine, Arabesque and Ons.
Since 1996 he collaborates with many musicians.

July 1999 partakes to INTERETNOS: "The hand on the drum" (international drums festivals) as Egyptian Representative with : Alfio Antico (Italy), Mohssen Kasirossafar ( Iran ), Badu' n'Daye ( Senegal ), Stefano Rossini ( Brazil ).

In October 2000 he participates at "Percussionistica" in Umbria( Italy )playing and teaching arabian drums with Tullio De Piscopo, Rasmy Batt, Saad Ismail.
In October 2000 with the group called "ONS" he plays at Folk Music International Festival in Munich (Germany).
