Antonio Gatti

A musician-pianist, participating in important festivals and music rostra in Italy and abroad, he studies the orchestral conducting. In the course of his compositional studies at the Music Conservatory of G. Verdi in Milano he was led by Mr. Solbiati. Later he improved his knowledge taking part in master courses with E. Correggia and G. Grisey in Milano and Novara, with G. Manzoni in Florence and with B. Ferneyhough and L. De Pablo in Royamount (Paris).

His pieces were played by many world - known performers in Italy and abroad (Arditti Quartet, Voies Nouvelles, Rohan de Saram...) in Royamount, at "Ars Musica" in Brusel, in Teatro Garonne in Toulouse, at the Musica 95 festival in Strasbourg and they sounded in the broadcasting of the Swiss-Italian Radio in Lugano... Gatti graduated from electronic music at the Milano conservatory. IRCAM (Paris) chose him as a composer of the "Academie d'Ete".

At present he is a technical collaborator and a permanent member of the centre for electronic research.
